Acupuncture

Two kinds of acupuncture, one clinic.

Both registered acupuncture (R.Ac) and contemporary medical acupuncture within chiropractic scope are available at Grice, used to support recovery from musculoskeletal complaints.

About this service

What this service is, in plain terms.

Our Toronto clinic is home to a Registered Acupuncturist (R.Ac) in good standing with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario. Registered acupuncture follows the traditional Chinese medicine framework and is delivered by a regulated acupuncturist.

Separately, several of our chiropractors are trained in contemporary medical acupuncture and use it within chiropractic scope as one tool among many when treating musculoskeletal complaints. These are different services, regulated by different colleges, and we are careful to describe which one you are receiving.

What to expect

A typical first visit.

Your practitioner will explain the approach being used, discuss any sensitivities or concerns, and obtain your consent before needles are placed. Single-use sterile needles are used in every session. Most patients feel only a mild sensation at the insertion point.
