What happens on your first visit.
We keep the intake experience straightforward. Here is exactly what to expect before, during and after your first appointment at either of our Ontario clinics.
Three small things that make a big difference.
Book online
Choose your clinic, your discipline and your preferred practitioner through our Jane App booking portal. You will receive a confirmation email with the exact time and address.
Bring the essentials
Government-issued photo identification, your extended health insurance card, and — for motor vehicle accident claims — your insurance information and accident report. A comfortable change of clothing is helpful for physical assessment.
Arrive ten minutes early
First-visit paperwork is completed privately at the clinic. Arriving a few minutes early gives you time to settle in and meet the front desk.
A clinical intake, an examination, and a conversation.
Every first visit begins with a thorough clinical intake — your history, your goals, and any relevant medical information. Your practitioner will perform a physical examination appropriate to the concern you are presenting with. When the assessment is complete, your practitioner will discuss findings with you and propose a plan of care. No treatment begins without your informed consent.
We accept most extended health plans.
Our front desk will verify your extended health coverage and process direct billing where available. You are responsible for any portion not covered by your plan at the time of visit.
For motor vehicle accident claims, our team will work with your auto insurer under the Ontario standard process, including OCF-18 treatment plans where appropriate. For WSIB claims, please bring your claim number and employer information.
Please do not send health details by email.
Our contact forms and general inbox are for scheduling and general inquiries only. If you have clinical information to share, please bring it with you to your appointment or discuss it with your practitioner directly. This protects your personal health information and keeps us compliant with Ontario's Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA).
